ABOUT THEIR PUPPIES

Lustig Er Amadeus Burg (“Lustig” for short), a black-and-red long stock coat German Shepherd, is a European import from Kyiv, Ukraine, and the son of a 4x VA (“excellent select”) champion, the highest attainable award granted at the annual Sieger show.  Lustig is registered with both the Ukranian Kennel Union and the AKC, which means his offspring will be AKC puppies. Sophie is the daughter of two of our dogs - Jett and Rex. With a white German Shepherd in her lineage, Sophie is a gorgeous and quite rare “maskless” German Shepherd. She has the traditional Shepherd saddle, but it is lighter in color. Everyone that sees her comments on how strikingly beautiful she is, and she has an incredible personality to match. This is the first time we have bred Sophie and Lustig, so we don’t have a past litter to show you what their puppies will look like. Since Sophie is a short-coated dog, and the short stock coats are the dominant trait, we expect Sophie x Lustig’s puppies to be short stock or plush coats, though it is possible for them to have long-coated pups since Sophie’s grandfather was a long-coat as well. We do not expect the puppies to be maskless like their mother; they are more likely to have traditional markings or darker faces like their father. Colors can only be determined over time, as they develop; see our “Watch Me Grow” page for details.

See the whole litter below. Then click on each picture to go to that puppy’s individual page!

While all of the puppies are basically black now, their markings and coloration will develop and change dramatically over time. To see an example of how this happens, take a look at our “Watch Me Grow” page.

Trusted Guardian AKC German Shepherd puppies out of Sophie x Lustig are $2,200 each. They are dewormed at two, four, six and eight weeks of age. They will come with their first set of puppy shots, a thorough exam by our vet, and a one-year health guarantee. To learn more about reserving or purchasing a puppy, click here.

A Glimpse Inside Our Kennel

For those of you who may not get to see the inside of our kennel due to COVID-19 precautions, we wanted to give you a glimpse right here. We take great pride in our kennel; it takes a lot of work to keep it this clean. As you can see, it is set up like a kitchen in a home so that puppies become accustomed to all the sights and sounds that will take place in their new home - including a dishwasher, blender and washer/dryer. The puppies get regular baths and are played with both inside and outside by our children, our gramma, and (when we don’t have COVID-19 concerns) by our friends as well. It’s a beautiful setting for them to get a healthy, happy start!
