This is “Commander,” now called “Gunner,” a male AKC German Shepherd puppy, at eight weeks old.
“I just wanted to let you know how in love we are with Gunner! He is everything I was looking for in a German Shepherd puppy - beautiful, sweet, silly, happy, gentle, smart and playful! Gunner has already learned place, come and sit with hand signals and [in less than a month] is 95% potty trained. He gets along great with my other dog and two cats, and he is surprisingly gentle with my two-year-old grandson. Thank you again for this wonderful addition to our family!”
“UPDATE: My big beautiful boy is now perfectly potty trained and sleeps through the night in his toy-filled crate. He quickly responds to commands (with hand signals) that include place, sit, down, paw, look-at-Mama, wait, up (stand on all fours), to bed, and ‘no cat.’ He has also learned to give me a kiss on the cheek before getting each meal, and we are working on ‘high five.’ He is always on guard with my grandson, and they are a dynamic duo of energy! My vet thinks Gunner is going to be VERY big (which is fine by me)! He weighed 45 pounds today at 16.5 weeks old. The vet said he wouldn’t be at all surprised if he hits around 100 pounds fully grown. He is doing great and has a beautiful coat with gorgeous coloration.”
“SIX-MONTH UPDATE: Happy six-month birthday to my big boy, Gunner (formerly Commander)! He is 72 pounds already, standing 2 feet at his shoulder and 3.5 feet long PLUS a 20-inch tail! He’s so sweet, and I couldn’t love him anymore than I already do!”
