ABOUT THEIR PUPPIES

We selected Rex as a stud dog because of his fabulous and unique personality, and of course his rugged, masculine good looks. Rex is a classic black-and-tan regular stock coat AKC German Shepherd with a high prey, retrieving and hunting drive and an affinity for airborne scents and tracking. Rex is clearly a beautiful German Shepherd. He is muscular and well-toned. He is courageous, alert, active, agile and eager. While always ready for action, Rex has a steady temperament and his response to any situation is tempered and calculated.

Jett's actual name is "Jett Propulsion" - you know, like a rocket. And there's a reason for that. Jett is f-a-s-t ... she's our speediest dog. Jett is a black-and-tan short stock coat AKC German Shepherd. Like Rex, she also has a high prey, retrieving and hunting drive. German Shepherds that love to chase anything from balls to bad guys have what “dog people” call a "strong prey drive." And that means business. If you want a dog for home protection or police work, a strong prey drive is an admirable quality. Jett is our best family protector, yet is gentle as a lamb with us and anyone that visits our home, and she is calm, cool and collected in all situations. We never have to worry if there is a noise at night, because Jett has our backs. She’s the best combination of pet and protector … a perfect example of a true Trusted Guardian.

We expect Jett and Rex’s puppies to be a wonderful blend of these two incredible dogs. They will be short stock coats with traditional colors, though there may be one or two that are a rare “maskless” German Shepherd, a distinctive look that many people find incredibly unique and beautiful. If these gorgeous babies turn out like Jett and Rex’s previous litter did, they will be shining examples of the breed and wonderful, even-tempered and easily managed pets.

While all of the puppies are basically black now, their markings and coloration will develop and change dramatically over time. To see an example of how this happens, take a look at our “Watch Me Grow” page.

Trusted Guardian AKC German Shepherd puppies out of Jett x Rex are $1,800 each. They are dewormed at two, four, six and eight weeks of age. They will come with their first set of puppy shots, a thorough exam by our vet, and a one-year health guarantee. To learn more about reserving or purchasing a puppy, click here.

A Glimpse Inside Our Kennel

For those of you who may not get to see the inside of our kennel due to COVID-19 precautions, we wanted to give you a glimpse right here. We take great pride in our kennel; it takes a lot of work to keep it this clean. As you can see, it is set up like a kitchen in a home so that puppies become accustomed to all the sights and sounds that will take place in their new home - including a dishwasher, blender and washer/dryer. The puppies get regular baths and are played with both inside and outside by our children, our gramma, and (when we don’t have COVID-19 concerns) by our friends as well. It’s a beautiful setting for them to get a healthy, happy start!
