A Note About Maskless German Shepherds
Nearly all German Shepherd puppies are born black or mostly black with their colors developing over time, something you can see on our Watch Me Grow Page. Alexi is an exception … or should we say exceptional? While it is still too soon to tell, it is possible that Alexi is a rare “maskless” German Shepherd; to see what a maskless German Shepherd looks like when growing up, look at another of Jett x Rex’s puppies from a previous litter here.

“Alexi is coming up on 12 weeks now, so I thought it would be a good time to share some photos of her growth. She is such a cutie and everyone she meets can't help but comment on her good looks. I also wanted to say that she has great attention and focus for a pup, and is handling training excellently! She picks up new tricks and commands quickly and is always eager to learn. It seemed like she already knew 'sit' and 'place' specifically. The towel tip you guys shared has really come in handy. She has become a big joy in my life, so thanks for having her.” - Brittany E., Orlando, FL

UPDATE: “Alexi is is just six months old now, but it feels like we’ve been together forever. She always wants to be by my side wherever I am, and she will curl up wherever I set her blanket. She is the most water-loving dog I’ve seen and will prance around in the rain, dash through any puddle in her path, chase the hose and even try to jump in the shower. If you don’t mind keeping towels by the doors, bathtime, going on potty walks during a storm or getting a hose down after a long outdoor play time all turn into fun games rather than chores. Alexi has such a bright and happy personality that it can’t help but rub off on you!” - Brittany E., Orlando, FL
